Boko Haram Troops reclaim Gudumbari town

Nigerian Army squad of the Armed Forces Special Force (AFSF), has reclaimed Gudumbari town, Guzamala local government area of Borno state, and cleared all traces of Boko Haram from the area.

An Internally Displaced Person (IDP), Aisami Goni, who is from the area said, ”we give glory to God for the good news we are hearing about soldiers’ victory over Boko Haram terrorists in Guumbari; now our hope of going back home is assured.”
Also, speaking on the development, Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman said "It was in continuation of the clearance of the remnants of recalcitrant members of Boko Haram terrorists in the various nooks and corners of the north east, the Armed Forces Special Forces (AFSF) carried out successful clearance of Boko Haram terrorists hiding in Gudumbali general area.”
A Boko Haram commander has reportedly said that the over 200 girls who were abducted from Chibok in April 2014 are no longer in the sect’s custody.
He said "You want to know where they are? They are not with us. If we can get what we want, we know where they are, we will get them.”
The Nigerian Army has also arrested and paraded a man who is allegedly a Boko Haram spy.
