Real Madrid & Atletico Madrid Have Been Banned From Signing New Players Until 2018!

The FIFA Appeal Committee today confirmed they had rejected the appeals by Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid for breaches relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18.

“Both clubs are to serve a transfer ban that prevents them from registering any players at national and international level for the next two complete and consecutive registration periods.”

Therefore, neither or the Madrid clubs will be able to sign any new players until January 2018.

“Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid have been fined CHF 900,000 (€822,000) and CHF 360,000 (€329,000) respectively”.

Real Madrid’s quiet summer in the transfer market

Will Real Madrid now be regretting making only one purchase this summer? – the €30m re-acquisition of former academy player Alvaro Morata.

The transfer ban also makes the sale of Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann hugely unlikely as Diego Simeone would be unable to bring in a replacement until 2018.

I know Barcelona fans will he happy to hear that.

SHOCKING!!! SEE WHAT IS KILLING NIGERIA FEMALE FOOTBALL.

Seyi Akinwunmi, the First Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, on Saturday said that the development of female football in Nigeria was being hampered by lesbianism practice.

Akinwunmi said this in Ibadan during a sports personality programme, Hot Seat, organised by the Oyo State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria.

While suggesting a total overhaul of the women’s football system in Nigeria, Akinwunmi said many problems were being overlooked while the game nosedived in the country.

He said,

“My passion for female football is as great as it is for grassroots football. But in reality, there are lots of problems with developing female football. It costs more and returns less. There are fewer players and less interest in female football than male football. But we have no excuse.

“Lesbianism kills teams. People are afraid to talk about it. The coaches take advantage of the girls, so there is much more to build in female football. Last year, I think the most problematic person to the chairman of female league was Seyi Akinwumi, I launched several attacks just to ensure things worked accordingly. So, I decided that look, if it’s so difficult for you, let us show you how it’s done.”

Akinwunmi said in Lagos, the second half of the year would be dedicated to female football, adding that it would involve mentorship programme.

“I took a historical look at countries and teams which have had success in this category, they started the way we also started, and it was difficult for them in the beginning as well because there were no sponsors and other problems,” he said.

Punch.

Watch Match Video : Brazil 0 – 1 Peru [Copa America 2016] Highlights

For the first time since 1987, Brazil failed to progress from the group stage as Peru won through in controversial circumstances.

Brazil was controversially eliminated in the group stage of the Copa America Centenario afteran apparent handball from Raul Ruidiaz lifted Peru to a 1-0 victory on Sunday.

Last year’s semifinalist Peru booked a spot in the quarterfinals ahead of Brazil in Group B as Ruidiaz broke the deadlock with 15 minutes remaining but replays showed the substitute had used his hand to bundle Andy Polo’s cross over the line as the game descended into chaos at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

In farcical scenes, referee Andres Cunha awarded Ruidiaz’s 75th-minute goal, only to then consult with his linesman and after almost five minutes of discussions amid protests from Brazil, which only needed a draw to advance, the decision was upheld.

Elias almost salvaged the required draw but the unmarked midfielder failed to score inside the six-yard box with three minutes to play.

After Ecuador’s 4-0 rout of Haiti, the result meant Brazil failed to progress beyond the group stage for the first time since 1987.

After impressing in goal-scoring cameos against Haiti, teenage sensation Gabriel and Lucas Lima were both promoted to Brazil’s starting XI at the expense of Jonas and the suspended Casemiro. A fit-gain Miranda returned to the lineup to partner Gil as Marquinhos dropped to the bench.

Peru also made three changes for the must-win clash, with Aldo Corzo, Adan Balbin and Andy Polo coming in for Renzo Revoredo, Renato Tapia and Alejandro Hohberg.

The first half ended all-square but it was not without its moments in Foxborough.

Uruguayan referee Andres Cunha waved away two penalty shouts from Brazil, with Peru fortunate to escape unpunished in the 24th minute after Luca Lima was clipped by Christian Ramos inside the area.

Brazil almost took the lead three minutes later via Gabriel after some nice build-up play from Elias, who almost picked out Dani Alves with a delightful ball minutes earlier, but the former’s shot on the turn was turned away by Pedro Gallese’s finger-tip save.

TOO BAD !!!See What UEFA Plans To Do To England And Russia Team.

European football’s governing body has warned both football associations that a repeat of the violent scenes witnessed on Saturday will result in their expulsion from the tournament England and Russia could be thrown out of Euro 2016 if violence involving their fans continues through the tournament, UEFA has confirmed.

Saturday’s 1-1 draw between the two sides was marred by heavy violence before and after the game, with both sets of fans clashing in Marseille.

At the end of the game, Russian fans forced their way through security barriers in the Stade Veldrome’s south stand and proceed to attack England supporters.

UEFA confirmed on Sunday that it will open disciplinary proceedings against the Russian Football Union as a result and expressed its “utter disgust” at the violent scenes.

And both sides have been warned that they could be disqualified from the tournament if there is a repeat of such violence.

“Such unacceptable behaviour by so-called supporters of the national teams of England and Russia has no place in football, a sport we must protect and defend,” a statement read.

“The UEFA Executive Committee has warned both football associations that – irrespective of any decisions taken by the independent disciplinary bodies relating to incidents inside the stadium – it will not hesitate to impose additional sanctions on the Football Association (FA) and the Russian Football Union (RFS), including the potential disqualification of their respective teams from the tournament, should such violence occur again.

“We urge both the FA and the RFS to appeal to their supporters to behave in a responsible and respectful manner.

“We would also like to publicly voice our support for the work of the French authorities and security forces for their efforts to deliver a safe and secure tournament in challenging circumstances.”

Match Highlights Video: Colombia 2 – 3 Costa Rica [Copa America]

Colombia coach Jose Pekerman might regret his extensive changes as a 3-2 loss to Costa Rica cost his side top spot in Group A.

Colombia coach Jose Pekerman might be wondering if 10 changes was a few too many after his team went down 3-2 against Costa Rica in their final Copa America Centenario group game.

Pekerman and Co. looked to be in control of the group after seeing off the United States and Paraguay ahead of their final group game against Costa Rica, but their complacency was punished as they finished behind the hosts in disappointing circumstances, setting up a potential quarterfinal clash with Brazil in the process.

England & Russia Fans In A Horrible Clash Before And After Match Of The Day Photos

Several Three Lions supporters have clashed with their Russian and French counterparts ahead of Saturday’s game between the two teams, with police again being forced to intervene.

England supporters were embroiled in a third day of fighting with police and rival supporters in Marseille ahead of their Euro 2016 opener against Russia.

Two nights of trouble in the Vieux Port (Old Port) area of Marseille shows no signs of coming to an halt with Russian and French Ultras reportedly entering the city’s main square from a side street before throwing bottles and inciting violence.

Tear gas has been used already by police to disperse the hooligans while several England fans are receiving medical treatment following skirmishes in the city.

England fans have been involved in a number of clashes with French police since the start of the tournament, with tear gas also used on Friday evening.

Goal correspondent Chris Wheatley was on the scene on Friday, and was stunned by the level of destruction, saying: “We’ve just seen someone knocked out. Absolutely shocking scenes here in Marseille.

“I can still feel the tear gas in my eyes. There’s not much else to say apart from absolutely disgraceful scenes by England fans.

“We were told to put our cameras down by some England fans. Looking at all the shopkeepers packing way now. Absolutely disgraceful scenes now.

“Shocking scenes in Marseille. Riot police are here but obviously there’s not much they can do about it as there are thousands of England fans on the streets and about 70,000 predicted to be at Stade Velodrome for Saturday’s game.”

It appears, however, that Russian fans incited their rivals on Saturday.

The match against Russia is due to kick off at 20:00 GMT and further violence has been threatened by Russian ultras, clad in black, after the match is over.

UEFA have since released a statement saying they “firmly condemn” the ugly scenes that have taken place in Marseille.

The statement in full reads: “UEFA firmly condemns the incidents in Marseille. People engaging in such violent acts have no place in football.”
