A statement issued by Colonel Sani Usman, Acting Director, Army Public Relations, revealed that the trio have been declared wanted because they are in possession of information on the conditions and the exact location of schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, in 2014.
The Army said its action is based on relevant laws.
The statement read: “The trio have been declared wanted because they are in possession of information on the conditions and the exact location of schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, in 2014.”

“We are relying on the relevant laws of the land and in particular the terrorism prevention Act 2011 (as amended), where Nigerians could be punished for failure to disclose information about terrorists or terrorist activities.

“This becomes necessary as a result of their link with the last two videos released by Boko Haram terrorists and other findings of our preliminary investigations.

“They must, therefore, come forward and tell us where the group is keeping the Chibok Girls and other abducted persons to enable us to rescue them.”

The Army called on the general public to provide information on the whereabouts of the wanted persons, adding that it is working with other security agencies for their arrest if they fail to turn up.

Salkida is a prominent Nigerian journalist who has remained a credible source of information about Boko Haram activities.
He is currently on self-imposed exile.

Basketmouth (Comedian) Speaks On Tiwa’s Marriage, Feud With Davido And Many Others

Popular comedian, Basket Mouth has addressed how celebrities go on social media to talk about their private lives instead of them doing it the way of the old. He revealed this on Saturday on The Gist which was aired on Hip TV. Hear him;

“To a large extent, I think there are a lot of people abusing the use of social media, I am sorry. Most of us artistes realizing that we have I, 2, 3 or 4 million people following us and you know that when you say something, a lot of people are going to react.

“It is like drug; you can’t contain yourself and start saying some crap. You are like a god having a lot of followers, whatever you tell them to do, they do.
“I am okay with people who go on social media to rant but I am against those who have turned it into a church to settle family issues. Normally, if you have a marital problem, you call your wife one on one. If you cannot contain it, you call in the parents. That’s how I saw it when I was growing up which is the culture I have embraced.

“That kind of situation shouldn’t be taken to social media and let people who have never been married, have no idea about what marriage is all about, say stuff about your marriage.”

“There are a lot of people with mental problem who have phone and data, you then give them the access to talk trash about your personal life.

“In Teebillz situation, the way he spoke on social media really appeared as though he was going to commit suicide and said horrible things to his father.

“Those words were words you say and just die, but now that he is still alive, how would he face his father? It would have been better if he had just written a letter to the man instead of putting it online. Unfortunately again, he went to blast his wife and his wife’s mother. These are things that shouldn’t be put online.

“Another thing is that Tiwa has a larger following than Teebillz, after Tiwa blasted him, it was extreme and it crushed him. He had no comeback; there is no comeback to things like that.”

The comedian admitted that he has also come close to losing his cool on social media over a matter that involved Davido, Afro-pop singer.

While making it clear that he’s not one to shy away from saying his mind, Basketmouth stressed that he would rather do it face to face than behind the mask of the internet.

“I do not get on social media walls because I want to increase following, mine is, if you come at me, if I feel the need to address you, I will. But 99% of the time, I would not say anything about it.

“There are so many times that I allow issues to slide, for instance, I said a joke that happened to be out of context about Davido; Davido was really upset. He didn’t come at me but I was a little bit shaded with what he said. I wanted to react but instead, I apologised.

“Personally for me, war should be war, come and say whatever you want to say to my face. It is wise for you not to bring out your personal issues on social media and that’s what I stand for.

“If it is a clap back at an artiste like yourself, then it is your choice. Once it gets to family, let those ones be in your house, let your Instagram and twitter group be between you, her father, her mother and herself.”

Justin Beiber Threatens To Make His Instagram Account Private Over Hate Comments From Fans

Justin Beiber proves he’s human like the rest of us who hate words have an effect on which might cause him to deny millions of people the fun of reaching him directly on Instagram.

Beiber who can boast of over seventy-seven million followers snapped after a series of hurtful words were said about his female companion who was in several snapshots he shared.

He captioned the last photo,”I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”

While some fans corrected him by saying those who loved Justin Beiber were called “Beliebers.”

Just as katrina.03 wrote, “Noo please dont! Its not fair! The haters are NOT gonna win!!! The beliebers love u!!❤️❤️, and tsoumikonstantina shared, “We’re not fans, we’re beliebers and we will always support you no matter what.”

There were those such as kyliesbaddie who penned, “Do it make it private bitch Your follower count will go from 77mil to 7”, obviously unperturbed by his threats.

Other comments include:
yessixa.a – It’s funny how he’s willing to stand up for her but where was he when Selena is still getting hate and we beliebers are out here defending him and getting made fun of for supporting him I don’t even know who he is anymore where’s the old Justin where’s the Justin that cared for us beliebers and isn’t a complete dick to us.
lari_cfl – PUT IN PRIVATE BITCH! I DON”T LIKE HER! I WONT START TO LIKE HER NOW! SHE CAN MAKE YOU HAPPY, BUT LOOK WHAT YOU’RE DOING! I HATE HER! #ripbeliebers

Some people take things just way too far which is many times so unnecessary. People need to learn to think before they type whatever biased opinion they may have over a post or a caption.

At the end of the day, we are all humans

Father Mbaka Speaks On President Buhari’s Administration Today –A Must Read

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, on today advised President Muhammadu Buhari against marginalization of any part of the country in his appointments.

In the statement by his media aide, Mr. Maximus Ugwuoke, in response to media reports that the cleric attacked the President in a recent message, where he lamented the level of hunger and hardship in the country, Mbaka said that he only admonished the President against marginalizing parts of the country in his appointments.

The statement reads,

“Fr. Mbaka equally advised the President on being careful about how he appoints people to prominent positions, so that no region will appear marginalised, as happened in Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation board and charged the President to make sure that those around him are not misguiding him.

“He advised the President on human empowerment and making sure that those who worked for him (Buhari) during the election ought to be empowered – as one good turn deserves another.”

“Fr. Mbaka merely reinstated the obvious sufferings that Nigerian are facing (which even the President himself had at points acknowledged and sued for patience and perseverance) and advised the President on the ways to tackle it, that is, by engaging economic gurus and listening to good advisers.

“He pleaded the President to begin a war against hunger, as many are dying hopelessly.

“He stressed that if the hunger, anger and danger continue, Nigerians may not vote for him again, as they would mistake him for the cause of these maladies while in fact he is a solution.

People React To Speaker Of House Of Rep For Saying Padding Is Not Corruption

Prominent groups and individuals have berated the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu Dogara, for claiming that budget padding is not an offence.

In separate interviews on Friday with Saturday Punch, they said that the Speaker’s statement showed that he was not sensitive to the suffering of Nigerians.

Dogara, after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, said that he would not resign over the budget padding allegation levelled against him and 12 others by a former Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin. The Speaker also said that budget padding was not an offence under the law.

In an interview with journalists after the meeting, which lasted for 30 minutes, the Speaker said, “I studied Law and I have been in the legislature and all this period I have never heard of the word ‘padding’ being an offence under any law.”

It is criminal—Falana, Afenifere, others

Condemning the Speaker, a human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), insisted that the alleged padding of the Federal Government’s budget by some members of the National Assembly constituted a criminal offence.

He explained that the offence of padding the budget was not a “once-and-for-all” like murder.

The senior lawyer said it started as conspiracy while planning it and concluded when it was used to draw money fraudulently after the budget had been passed.

Falana had also said that it was logical for those implicated in the scam to step down because Jibrin had done the same.

He said,

“The act violates Fiscal Responsibility Act. Section 13 of the Fiscal Responsibility Act prescribes that relevant agencies, including the National Assembly, make input into the budget. Relevant government agencies are required to do the costing for the projects to be included in the budget.

“It is expected that negotiation and costing of projects should have been concluded while the preparation is going on. Budgeting is a process. Budget is money bill, which must necessarily originate from the executive. Section 81(1) of the Constitution says the President shall cause the budget to be prepared and lay it before the National Assembly. The National Assembly cannot cause the budget to be prepared and lay it before itself.

“What the National Assembly can do after the budget is laid before it is to reduce the amount if it is convinced it is inflated.

“So it is conspiracy when they increase the amount or insert projects into the budget. The criminal act is concluded when they now draw from the funds they have inserted.”

DAUGHTER OF AN INSURANCE GURU MOURNS BROTHERS DEATH OF A DECADE AGO

Ufuoma Ashogbon, the first daughter of insurance guru and former governorship aspirant, Olorogun O' Tega Emerho celebrates her 34th birthday which falls to same day of her brother Ijamani's murder ten years ago. The mother of two also shared some interesting details surrounding the death of the then 18-year-old. She alleged his death was politically motivated because those with him were not harmed.

Born in Nigeria on March 29, Ijamani was murdered on August 2nd, 2006. Read her post after the cut

"Today, I am 34 year old, and I give God all the glory for my life! By His grace, I am not only a year older, but a little wiser too. I glorify Him for all that He has brought me through, and for all the ways He has blessed me in this life.
Ten years ago today, I lost someone very dear and close to me. I lost my little brother, Ijamani, to gun violence. One moment he was enjoying the gift of life, even as I was celebrating mine… The next, his life was stolen from him and from his family and friends who loved him. There was no moment to say goodbye, or to express to him how much we loved him, or how much we were going to miss him.

Two travesties happened the day he died. One was that a group of wicked people plotted his murder, and sought him out to kill him. Our belief is that it was politically motivated against my father, because no one else with him was harmed, and nothing was taken. The other travesty was that he was refused care at the first hospital he was taken to, because they didn’t have money to pay for his treatment, and so he died on reaching the second hospital.

We live with the horrors of this life everyday. That first hospital was never held accountable for my brother’s death, and the men who took his life are still roaming free in my country! A country where it takes bribery for the Police to attend to an urgent plea for help. Where the excuse of no fuel in their tanks will mean that you do not get the Law enforcement our taxes pay for. And a world where the absence of money means that your life is valued at nought.

So today, as I celebrate the gift of life I still enjoy, I remember my sweet brother, who was taken from us at the tender age of 18. #ManiLivesOn in me and in everyone who ever loved him. He lives in my earthly father, from whom he got is handsome looks and his gentle temperament. Their likeness was so uncanny in both respects, and I can’t help but imagine how great Mani would have been, if our world had been a better place. My dad is still committed to making Nigeria better through political influence, and using his God-given intellect and wisdom to serve his people. Mani lives on in the fight for justice and humanity in our country!

Every year I mark my birthday, I have chosen to celebrate life, because I believe life trumps death. But this year, I choose to mourn my brother, and remember him and the circumstances of his death, and plead with God and man that we should make this our world a better place for the living… I don’t want birthday wishes or gifts or cakes today. I want to honour my brother. I want to remember him, and his humble spirit that is so lacking in our world.

Mani was always so caring, so thoughtful and so genuine. He was not perfect, I know we like to glorify the dead after they are gone, but he was a remarkable young man and everyone who knew him could testify of that. Mani was one of those people who never held grudges, was always positive and generous with his smiles and acts of kindness.

I wish I had known him more. But for the better part of his latter years, I was disconnected from my family, living in the UK and trying to understand this thing called life. I missed real life in pursuit of holiness…and I missed that too. I am still learning what true holiness means and what it means to be fully alive, and how both can co-exist. It is only in death that we get a glimpse of the meaning of life…and the importance of being present and attentive to the ones who matter to us.God, who knows all things and holds the keys to life and death, knows why He allowed my brother to be taken. I am yet to find meaning in his death, but on the day he was buried I was resolved to not let his death be in vain. I was resolved to make a difference in my country and in my world. Today, I am glad that I am doing that through my charity Fair Life Africa Foundation. Do visit us and see how you can support our mission to empower people for a fairer life.

This is the real meaning of having mixed feelings, she celebrates her birthday and mourn her kid brother at the same time.Must really be hard for her but God almighty knows the best...
